You might think Facebook is all fun and games, but sometimes it comes with a price.

Many Facebook users forget that when they download an app or sign in to a website using their Facebook login, they are allowing companies a look into their Facebook profile, giving them a ton of information about yourself that is sold to advertisers in one form or another.

According to Business Insider UK´s “how to” guide, there are two easy steps you can take to prevent that from happening; 1. Opt out of ad tracking, and 2. Look up the list of app companies that are logged in to your Facebook account, and edit that list.
